In the Underwater GoPro Specialist course students will learn everything there is to know about shooting underwater photos and video with a GoPro action camera.
Course work will begin in the classroom with hands-on training of camera settings and features, care and maintenance of the underwater housing, lighting techniques, filters, lenses, and more.
Two dives will provide students with the opportunity to apply this training in a low risk environment with direct supervision and instruction. Finally, students will have the opportunity to learn how to edit their video using DaVinci Resolve, an easy to use, yet extremely powerful for video editing and Hollywood quality color correction.
Taught by award winning professional filmmaker, Mike Johnson, the Underwater GoPro Specialist course is certain take your GoPro skills and understanding to the next level! Mike has been shooting, editing, and producing TV shows, commercials, web videos, documentaries, and much more for well over a decade, including a dive-themed web series with underwater scenes shot entirely on GoPro action cameras. Most recently, his short documentary, Oceanic Aliens, has screened at over 20 film festivals around the world, winning numerous awards and accolades.

Care & maintenance of your GoPro system
Lighting techniques including filters & lenses.
Editing your video using GoPro Quik
Sharing your GoPro video with friends & family
PADI Open Water Diver or Junior Open Water (or
have a qualifying certification from another training
organization) with a minimum of 20 logged dives; great buoyancy skills
GoPro camera (any model) with underwater housing; laptop computer
