Dr. Angel Yanagihara is an internationally recognized marine biochemist, scuba diver, and Director of the Pacific Cnidaria Research Lab at the University of Hawaii. An award-winning scientist, Fulbright Specialist, ARCS Hawaii Scientist of the Year, and Fellow of The Explorers Club, her pioneering research on box jellyfish and other venomous marine life has transformed diver safety and advanced marine science worldwide. Through decades of ocean exploration and groundbreaking discoveries, she has developed patented sting-treatment technologies used by divers, lifeguards, and first responders around the globe.
