Underwater Pumpkin Carving Specialist
Sign up to take the PADI Underwater Pumpkin Carving Distinctive Specialty course — a fun and unique c-card for your logbook! Learn all about what it takes to carve a pumpkin underwater including proper weighting, buoyancy control and cool techniques. Each buddy team carves a pumpkin over two dives. Be sure and register for the Soak Your Gourd Event which includes quarry entry fee, supper, drinks and an event t-shirt (click here for details).
Prerequisites:
- PADI Open Water Diver or Junior Open Water Diver certification (or qualifying certification from another organization)
- Minimum age is 10 years old
- Each diver will be required to sign PADI’s Continuing Education Administrative Document, including the Divers’ Medical Questionnaire. Medical clearance by a doctor may be required for some.

Required Materials:
Divers will need to bring their own pumpkin, carving tools, mesh bag for collection of pumpkin guts and dive equipment
