Certified in 2011 at Mermet Springs, Jim has made the most of his relatively short dive career by logging over 475 dives on his path to IDC staff. Crank up War Pigs between dives and you'll get a glimpse of Jim's wild side.
Our only instructor that willingly declared himself a member of Team Ken, and yet wouldn't disclose how he loads a toilet paper roll (over the top unless you have a cat is the correct answer). Brave, yet mysterious.
Keeping up with her favorite dive buddy (husband, and fellow instructor, Bill) has clocked Peggy over 1600 dives. With her favorite dive location being "underwater", you know Peggy loves what she does at Y-kiki.
Favorite piece of gear you boght yourself? "Passport." Now that's deep.
Sirloin, "Outlaw Torn" by Metallica, "Harley Davidson & the Marlboro Man". Nuff said.
Phil's favorite place to dive is Bonaire and his favorite movie is The Outlaw Josie Wales. Take a class or dive with him and we're sure you will find even more redeeming qualities that make up for his favorite song being "I'm Your Boogie Man."
With an eye on the course director position, Andrew is an invaluable shop employee who puts his expertise as an instructor to use daily with customers. You can also see another of his passions by checking out some of the images around the web site. If you like how something looks, that was probably Andrew.
First certified in 2015, Marco has logged over 250 dives on his journey to Master Scuba Diver Trainer. An educator in his daily life, it comes as no surprise that he prefers physical books to digital, or that he loads a roll of toilet paper the proper way. What is surprising is his occassional difficulty with opening doors.
Firman by day, shop staff on his "days off", and Master Scuba Diver Trainer when he's not busy, it would surprise no one to learn Scott is a superhero protecting the streets at night. The guy has to sleep sometime to prepare for duck season though, so we're guessing he hung up his cape some time ago.
Favorite song? "Working Man, by Rush."
What more needs to be said?

Diving so long he doesn't remember when he got his Open Water Diver certification, just that it was in Cozumel. He's also decided his dive buddies Mickey and Eric are neck in neck as his favorite.
Certified in 2000 at the Rolla Quarry, Wes has made Cozumel his dive home away from home. With his usual out of the box thinking he tells us his favorite holiday is Midsummer in Sweden. If you get a chance to take a class with Wes ask him about the Crab Au Gratin from Mike Anderson's in Baton Rouge.
Certified in 1996, David has logged over 1000 dives. So when he says Bonaire is his favorite dive location you can trust his judgement. If you find yourself in one of his classes bring him some chocolate to earn extra credit.

Scott's knows what he likes, and it's a Carne Asada Burrito while watching Shawshank Redemption. None of this "there's too many to choose."
When Jessica isn't teaching or working her other gig you can find her working in the shop.
Mike has great taste in and out of diving. His favorite gear is his Teric, adn his favortie movie is Caddyshack. Two solid choices. He also likes his food "fresh" unike those of us who eat any old thing we find.
Betty favorite dive location is a closely gaurded secret, but she's more than happy to share her knowledge of diving with you. And if she tells you Roatan is her favorite place to dive don't believe her, it's her second favorite place.
Certified in 2018, Allen has already learned a valuable lesson. His overall favorite piece of gear? "Wetsuit hangers, nothing better than getting in a dry wetsuit on Sunday morning." Especially true when quarry diving in April or October.
Favorite dive location? "Like picking which kid is my favorite." So she has a favorite, she just doesn't want to cause hurt feelings.
Matt is another staff member with a nondescript love for pasta, but was able to zero in on his heated vest as his favorite piece of dive gear. He has confirmed he stopped wearing it when not diving.

Certified in 2017, David has wasted no time getting involved where he can. His c ontribution to the Scouts programs at Y-kiki Divers is appreciated more than he will ever know (unless he reads this).
One of the few to do her Open Water checkout dives in Bonne Terre Mine, Cherie's favortie diving is Lion Fish Hunting in Jamaica. Other favorites? Pshaw. All Jimmy Buffett songs, anything salty, All Marvel Comic Universe.
Completeing his Open Water Checkout dives in St. Lucia and listing Tahiti as his favorite dive location, Mike is a well traveled diver. We can't say he's terribly picky though, his favorite food is "Italian". Way to narrow it down, Mike.
Tom is one of our few staff members claiming his favorite dive location is in the U.S. - Jacksonville, NC. He also claims steak is his favorite food and his HUD is his favorite piece of dive gear, so you can bet there's good diving in Jacksonville.

Favorite dive location: Honduras

That's steaks, plural.

Always game to dive with anyone willing, and ready to capture it all on his GoPro, Kevin is the type of Divemaster we like at Y-kik Divers.
Camron loves anything with noodles, but his favorite holiday is Thanksgiving. Now we need to ask him what noodle dish he eats with his turkey.
First certified in Aruba in 1996, Paul hasn't logged nearly enough dives. Valeriedconvinced him to work at the shop with promises of world travel and beautiful dive locations. One day he'll take her up on that.
Hannah helps out when needed, which is more often than you'd think. A farrier by trade, it's no surprise she enjoys working with all the cool gear and tools around the shop.
The newest member of the team, Emily has opted for the fast track to go pro. Look for to be an instructor in the near future.
