CAMPS

Looking for something different than the usual summer camp experience? Kids who love the water will get a lot out of one of the camps Y-kiki Divers offers and is involved with. Registration for the camps is done through the organization running the camp.

All Seal Team Scuba Camps will require a completed Seal Team Statement.

First up, we are again partnering with the Parkway-Rockwood Community Ed program. For complete details and to enroll in one of the camps check out their PADI Scuba Camps. There are multiple sessions to choose from depending on your level.

Parkway-Rockwood Community Ed Camps -

*PADI Seal Team Scuba Camp (Grades 3-6) -

         Session 1 - June 13-17; 1:00-4:00pm
         Session 2 - July 5-8; 1:00-4:00pm
         The perfect introduction to the exciting world under the sea! The Seal Team Scuba Camp is a pool only, activity-filled introduction to the exciting world of scuba diving under the direct supervision of certified scuba instructors. Throughout the week, participants will complete a new "AquaMission" each day to learn new scuba skills and practice buoyancy. Each participant will receive an Activity Logbook as well as a Seal Team member card and wall certificate.

*PADI Master Seal Team Scuba Camp (Grades 3-6) -

         August 8-12; 1:00-4:00pm
         Attention PADI Seals! Continue the adventure with Specialty AquaMissions! Each Specialty AquaMission introduces young divers to new dive experiences and equipment. We will complete a new AquaMission each day: Creature ID Specialist, Underwater Archeology Specialist, Search & Recovery Specialist, Peak Performance Buoyancy Specialist and Inner Space Specialist.
        PADI Seals need to complete a total of 10 additional AquaMissions (in no particular order or timeframe and you can even repeat AquaMissions) to qualify as a PADI Master Seal. Participants need to be a PADI Seal.

*PADI Open Water Scuba Camp (Ages 10-Adult) -

         July 11-15; 1:00-4:00pm
         Take the first of three steps to receiving a PADI Open Water Scuba certification as we spend time in the pool mastering skills such as mask clearing, regulator recovery and neutral buoyancy. This pool only program is designed for youth ages 12-adult. There are three steps to receive a PADI Open Water Scuba certification: classroom work, pool practice, and open water training dives. We will discuss options to complete the classroom and open water dives during class. Both components would be at an additional charge and would be required to earn the PADI Open Water Certification. All equipment for camp is included. Prerequisites: good health, reasonable fitness and comfort in the water. Offered in partnership with Y-Kiki Divers.

*PADI Open Water Scuba Classroom (Ages 10-Adult) -

         July 11-15; 9:00am-12:00pm
         Join us for step two to receiving a PADI Open Water Scuba certification as we complete the classroom portion course.

 

 

Y-kiki Divers has also partnered with several municipalities to offer programs within their camp sessions.

    The Seal Team Scuba Camp is a pool-only, activity-filled introduction to the exciting world of scuba. Under the direct supervision of certified scuba instructors from Y-kiki Divers, participants will complete a new "AquaMission" each day to learn new scuba skills. A PADI Seal Team Crew Pak is provided to each participant. All equipment rental is included in the price. Participants will receive a PADI Seal Team member card and wall certificate at the conclusion of the course. Participants and parents or guardians must complete and sign the Padi Seal Team Statement prior to camp. Participants who answer YES to any question on the medical history form must have a Physician's Release prior to camp.
